missing summer and look how much my baby has grown

OK, so I am learning that if I use Picasso, choose a picture and click on blog this, I have an instant post. this isn't too tricky. It does have me looking through old pictures and thinking how unfair it is that children and babies have to grow up. Look how innocent (most of them) they look.....look how tan we all look.....

Things I reeeeally should be doing instead of surfing the net or reading sci-fi novels

Projects that we are working on:

find a truck. We want a ford f250 6.9 liter 5 speed transmission diesel engine from the 1980's (preferably 1987)

building the chicken coop- right now Steve has the form boards up (the chicks arrive within days from now)

beehive. We need to build the foundation, order the hive kits, put them together and wait for the busy bees to arrive.

Steve just tilled the original garden plot. We are in search for an affordable plow to break sod for the rest of our seeds....think "many seeds".

raising the seedlings......we ended up with more than planned due to a water spillage disaster.

order all the fruit trees and bushes planned. (blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, grapes, apples)

finish building the raised bed strawberry patch and plant the seedlings.

build the terraced beds in the backyard for the asparagus and rhubarb. (we still need to order the big rocks)

interior painting:
upstairs bath- sand, tape and float a little, sand, prime then paint.
upstairs bedrooms- touch up in Katrina/Kim's room and sand, prime and paint in Kelly/Johnny's room
paint upstairs hallway and stairwell
prime and paint Kaitlyns room (after tearing the wall apart to re-install a shower in the hall bath)
paint master bedroom
sand, tape, float, sand, prime and paint mud room and laundry room
touch up in family room
touch up in kitchen

Re-work the hall shower to be able to turn on the water

interior flooring can't be done until the exterior work is done (which will prevent further water intrusion and mold stuff)

Exterior:
purchase more siding
purchase plywood (very expensive right now)
purchase 2 by 4 s and Tyvek
purchase additional tools
tear down existing siding
split 2 by 4s and attach to house
install insulation, attach plywood and then wrap in tyvek
install new siding
prime and paint siding.

dig trench around house perimeter, put in drainage system to relieve pressure on the foundation from the clay soil moving.

new porch. nuff said.

west wall re-done with windows re-installed.

above garage attic construction:
install windows (build frame for them)
finish plumbing for bathroom
finish electrical work
clean out bird droppings and patch up holes in flooring
drywall, tape, float, prime and paint
install doors, flooring, trim and light fixtures

new septic system-
dig up trees in the way of a leach field
drain lagoon into leach field, build septic tank box and get the whole thing working.

dig a well
install geothermal system utilizing the well
